常滑の滞在は土地と素材の結びつきを探求することを目的としていました。滞在中、さまざまな陶製品の制作現場を見学するうちに、陶の主な加工方法である「ろくろ」の回転運動と、常滑の土管産業から発展した電纜管が結びつき、「もし土管で粒子加速器を作ることができたら」という仮説へと発展しました。 
粘土は地球の岩石を生物が長い時間をかけて柔らかくしたものを、焼成により再び石に戻す工程を経て陶になります。宇宙的な時間のスケールを連想するこの素材で、宇宙の起源に迫る小さなビックバンを発生させる実験装置である粒子加速器ができたら、壮大な時間を凝縮する装置になるのではないかと想像したました。 
展覧会では、実際に生産されている電纜管を円形に繋ぎ合わせた粒子加速器の模型や、その設計図としての陶製ドローイング、粒子模型として小さな山の形をした作品などを、未発見の小惑星観測所が所有する一連の実験装置として展示しました。
The purpose of the stay in Tokoname was to explore the connection between the land and the materials. While visiting various ceramic production sites during my stay, I made a connection between the rotary motion of the potter&#8217;s wheel, the main method of working ceramics, and the electric cable pipes that developed from the Tokoname clay pipe industry, leading to the hypothesis: ‘What if we could make a particle accelerator with clay pipes’. 
Clay is made from the earth&#8217;s rocks, softened over a long period of time by living organisms, and then turned back into stone again through a firing process to become pottery. With this material, which is associated with the cosmic scale of time, I imagined that if a particle accelerator, an experimental device for generating small Big Bangs that approach the origins of the universe, could be made, it would be a device for condensing magnificent time. 
In the exhibition, a model of a particle accelerator made of actually produced cable tubes joined together in a circular shape, a ceramic drawing as a blueprint of the accelerator, and a particle model in the form of a small mountain were displayed as a series of experimental devices owned by an undiscovered asteroid observatory.

愛知県大野町の海岸に、潮が満ちたら消えてしまう49文字の詩を書いた作品。全長約40mの作品を、集まった参加者およそ30人と共同制作しました。
A 49-character poem was written on the beach in Ohno, Aichi Prefecture, which will disappear when the tide rises. The work, which is approximately 40 m long, was created in collaboration with approximately 30 participants who gathered at the site.
