岩手県の宮古市民文化会館が主催するアーティストインレジデンスを通じて、劇団ブルーエゴナクの演出作家、穴迫信一さんと共同で制作した演劇作品。

「ひとり」から「ふたり」になったり、もしくは「僕」と「君」の関係が成立して、他者という圧倒的に未知な存在と向き合う瞬間、まるでちいさな宇宙が出現するかのように感じることがあります。今回、役者が二人であるからこそ目撃することができた小さな宇宙の誕生に、無限の可能性を感じました。
実は、二人の役者が夏前に初めて出会った紛れもない事実から、このストーリーが始まっています。一見するとささやかな出会いをきっかけに、徐々に周囲の人を巻き込みながら舞台を作り進めていく様は、まさに宇宙の膨張を目の当たりにしているようでした。また、二人の膨張に穴迫さんと私も巻き込まれていたのかもしれません。

This theatre piece was produced in collaboration with Shinichi Anasako, director of the Blue Egonaku Theatre Company, through an artist-in-residence programme organised by the Miyako Civic Cultural Centre in Iwate Prefecture.

In the moment when the relationship from ‘one’ to ‘two’ or ‘me’ to ‘you’ is established and we are confronted with the overwhelmingly unknown presence of the other, it sometimes feels as if a tiny universe appears. This time, the birth of a small universe, which we were able to witness only because we were two actors, gave us a sense of infinite possibilities.
In fact, the story begins with the undeniable fact that the two actors met for the first time before the summer. From this seemingly modest encounter, they gradually involved the people around them in the creation of the play, which was like witnessing the very expansion of the universe. It is also possible that Mr Anasako and I were also involved in their expansion.
