“Rokko Meets Art 2019” (Kobe)

この山は大きな変化を２度経験している。

一度は禿山にされ、次に観光資源として開拓されてきた。

どちらにしても、人の手によって山の地形はもしかしたら少し変わってしまったのではないか。

つまり、私たちはいつもこの山に対して一方的に新しい地図を与えつづけてきているのだ。

ではここに、ひとつ想像上の地図を与えてみよう。

人々がそれぞれ”中心”だと思う場所の方角を集めたら、中心の地図が描けるかもしれない。

私たちの中心はいったいどこにあるのか。

（ほんとはそんなものきっとどこにもないけれど、）

地図には描いてあるのかもしれない。

This mountain has experienced two major changes.

Once it was made into a bald mountain, and then it was developed as a tourist resource.

In either case, the topography of the mountain may have been slightly changed by human hands.

In other words, we have always been unilaterally giving the mountain a new map.

Let me give you an imaginary map.

If we collect the directions of what each person considers to be the “center,” we may be able to draw a map of the center.

Where exactly is our center?

(Actually, there is no such a thing, but…)

Maybe it is drawn on the map.
