新型コロナウイルス感染症の影響を受けた人々が行うコミュニケーションの変容から、「話し声」に着目した公開制作を行った。道路に面したガラス張りの小部屋の中で作者が公開制作をしていると、訪れた人は作者と電話を通じて会話をすることができる。

電話をすると、「あなたにとって重要な場所や、強く印象に残っている場所の話をしてください。私はその話から地図を想像して描いています。」という質問から、場所に関する

思い出話をしてもらう。その会話を元に地図を想像し、一ヶ月かけて一つの「未発見の小惑星」のドローイングを描いた。

 

From the transformations in communication that people affected by COVID-19 infection, the artist focused on the “speaking voice” in this public work.

While the artist was working in a small glass-walled room facing the road, visitors could have a conversation with the artist via telephone. When you call, the artist says, “Tell me about a place that is important to you, a place that left a strong impression on you. I imagine and draw a map from that story.”  and then ask them to share their memories about the place. I imagined a map based on these conversations and drew a drawing of an “undiscovered asteroid” over the course of a month.
